Loxwood Clay Pits Ltd

A company known as Loxwood Clay Pits aims to extract the clay for use in brick-making and also wants to build a construction materials recycling facility on the site over a 33-year period.

It is currently seeking views from West Sussex County Council and local parishes/ residents and has issued a scoping report on its proposals before submitting a formal planning application.

The proposed site is on the old Pallinghurst Estate, north east of Loxwood and west of the A281.

On the 25th August Protreat Ltd (consultants to Loxwood Clay Pits Ltd) ran a Zoom webinar (see link for contents) to provide information regarding the plans for the development of the Loxwood Clay Pit (a pre-planning application has been submitted) . It has been confirmed that Loxwood Road will be used for vehicle movement.

A second webinar has now been arranged for Tuesday 27th October at 5pm.
